Camille Wilson is a Host, Speaker, Journalist, Reporter, Producer and Media Professional.
She is currently a Reporter for CTV News Ottawa, the Nation’s Capital – covering breaking news, local, community and Nationwide stories.
Wilson was formally the Hype Audience Host of Cityline, Canada’s longest running daytime show for women…and she did it brilliantly. Within a couple of hours these strangers were taking a photograph with her.

Outside of Cityline, Camille was formally a Traffic Reporter at 680 News Radio – Toronto’s #1 radio station for news, traffic and weather and the Associate Producer at Breakfast Television – the four-time Canadian Screen Award winning morning show.
Wilson has served as a Host, Emcee, Moderator and Keynote Speaker at multiple charitable events, community & cultural events, Festivals, Schools, Shows, Sports games, Weddings and Gala’s. She hosted The BrAIDS for AIDS annual ‘BrAIDathon’ event, to bring awareness to HIV/AIDS in Black communities in Canada. She opened for, emceed and moderated a Q&A for Shan Boodram – intimacy expert & educator, TV personality, author, dating & relationship coach. Wilson has spoken at women’s events, encouraging unity, sisterhood and celebrating one another.
She also hosted The Sickle Cell Awareness Group of Ontario’s (SCAGO) Hope Gala & Awards Ceremony, The Toronto screening of ‘Misbehaviour’ – based on the inspiring true story surrounding the revolutionary act that intersected during the Miss World pageant in 1970, The International Peace Festival’s (IPF) Ambassadors Gala & The IPF’s Award Ceremony, Chic Noir Wedding Show – Toronto’s first premium and only luxe wedding show catering to Black brides and grooms, Polished: Beyond the Skin – celebrating the unique diversity of skin of colour & empowerment and has hosted many, many more!
Camille’s been asked to speak at her old high school numerous times to uplift and encourage young ladies. She’s also hosted Town Halls and been invited to speak on Graduate Alumni Panel’s at Seneca College, where she graduated from the Multi-platform Broadcast Journalism program.
Wilson was the guest Raptors 905 female entertainment in-game Emcee/PA Announcer for the International Women’s Day game for March 2024.
Toronto born but she is deeply in touch with her roots and the Caribbean community. Camille is first generation Canadian – her parents are from the beautiful island of Grenada, with Trinidadian roots as well.
She was the MC for the Grenada 51st Independence Day Gala which was held in Toronto. She participates in Toronto’s Caribbean Carnival (Caribana) each year from building costumes, to modelling for Carnival Nationz & The Toronto Revellers Masquerade Band, founded by bandleader Jamaal Magloire, former NBA player & Ambassador of the Toronto Raptors.
Beyond media, Camille has worked as an ECA at a Toronto daycare, a teacher / leader of the children’s, youth and dramatic arts ministry at her church and the Front of House Manager at Young People’s Theatre.
From age 10, Camille started understanding concepts like discrimination & racism due to incidents of social injustice in school. She quickly leaned into her identity and encouraged the girls behind her to keep pushing for their dreams. To this end Camille has spoken at the Athletic Tech Group’s – Athletic Women Empowerment Program in the hopes of empowering young BIPOC women athletes to take control of their future. She’s been a guest speaker at the Boys & Girls Club Black History Month Celebration, the Keynote Speaker for the Council of Caribbean Associations Canada (CCAC) 2024 Bursary Presentations and served as a panelist for the Careers Entertainment Empowerment (CEE) Centre For Young Black Professials, Entertainment Trades program. She’s dedicated to community and uplifting the next generation and it’s evident in the work she has done.
Camille is a traveller, has a deep passion for fashion, loves to smile and believes “laughter is the best medicine”. She is engaging, fun, spreads positivity and is always the life of the party. On her days off you’ll likely find her travelling with her mom, her #1 supporter and biggest cheerleader.
